Big Sur, CA - Ventana Supercharger

It's the old style tesla chargers max of 72kw which is fine. It does not accept adaptors and will not charge your EV if it isn't a Tesla so beware there are no non Tesla chargers around

Slow charger complaints are ridiculous!  You are in the most beautiful place!!!  We had an amazing drink at the hotel and shared an appetizer and filled up the car!  All while taking in Big Sur views!

Having a Tesla Supercharger out here in the middle of Big Sur is incredibly convenient—especially in such a remote area. When we stopped, there was no line at all and we were the only ones there, so it was easy to park and charge without any hassle. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Just a heads-up: the charger is located next to a hotel, and if you’re not a guest, you’re not allowed to use the restrooms or hotel amenities. The staff is very strict about this and non-guests aren’t really welcomed beyond the charging area. That said, it’s a solid and reliable stop when you’re in need of a charge on Highway 1.

Slow supercharger but convenient. However there are no amenities. Follow the signs and it is pretty easy to find on the right, gravel lot, just before the restaurant parking.

The good:

a supercharger in a remote location with great views.

The bad:

no facilities at all.

Hotel staff are really rude just driving in its like you are going through airport security asked questions about your intentions and letting you know there is no facility access up front. I missed the charger turn because a cop car was kind of blocking the charger entrance and the guy was super rude.

It’s a slower show charger. I was getting about 325 miles of range per hour.

Beautiful views, it is just outside of the resort for public access and has a 90 minute general parking rule. There are convenience stores going mostly north up the Pacific Coast Highway, stop at the Big Sur Center before going to charge for the pro move to chill out with an awesome sandwich from the deli while you charge.
