Clinton, NJ Supercharger

This is a great place to charge easy off and on best for daytime stops while the restaurant is open. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant is available during regular operating hours.

Excellent place to charge. The superchargers are fast and reliable. The restaurant at the site has some great food and rest rooms available. This site is open to all electric vehicles (no adapter needed). Non-Tesla EVs need to activate the charger using the Tesla app. This location is very conveniently located right off the interstate.

The Tesla Supercharger station in Clinton, New Jersey is a gem of convenience and comfort, especially for travelers cruising along I-78. Located just off the highway, it's tucked into the parking lot of the beloved Clinton Station Diner. It's a retro-style eatery that's earned a loyal following for its hearty fare and quirky food challenges.

This Supercharger setup features 12 high-speed Tesla connectors, each delivering up to 250 kW, making it a reliable stop for a quick and efficient top-up. The chargers are thoughtfully positioned along the tree-lined edge of the lot, offering a bit of natural shade--an underrated perk during sunny summer drives or when you're stretching your legs outside the car.

While the immediate area doesn't offer much beyond the diner, that's hardly a drawback. The Clinton Station Diner is more than just a pit stop--it's a destination in its own right. Whether you're in the mood for a classic breakfast, a towering burger, or just a slice of pie and coffee, the menu has something for everyone. And if you're not feeling adventurous enough to tackle one of their famous food challenges, the Turkey Reuben is a standout.

In short, this Supercharger station combines fast charging with a genuinely enjoyable break. It's a great example of how Tesla's infrastructure can turn a routine recharge into a pleasant pause in your journey.

Charged at 6:30am. I was the only one there, the whole are was clean and well kept, and I felt safe. The 24 hr restaurant next to the chargers has a huge joint parking lot and security cameras. Price was 0.37/kWh. The congestion fee is 0.50/min starting at 80% charge level or once charging is completed. Restaurant has a big breakfast menu, nice ambiance, 2 small bars (one with liquor and the other one was set up for dining for one and has a TV playing the news. Didn’t eat there since I was in a rush but I will definitely come back to try the eggs Benedict.
The first charger I tried #3D had a CCS attachment, so I moved to the next one to charge with the NACS/Tesla plug.

Convenient location off of Rt 78, in the parking lot of the Clinton Station Diner. Plenty of chargers, 250kw. Happy to see this as an option while traveling in Western NJ.
