Colchester, UK Supercharger

WARNING Very shocked to receive a £100 parking penalty notice for charging at this location. Tesla SHOULD make it clear that there is a parking fee to pay while charging the car. Most Tesla chargers locations are not subject to this EXTRA COST!

Nothing to catch your eye but failure to scan means £100 parking fine and hotel are not interested.

Recieved a £100 fine for using the supercharger from Park Maven who operate the carpark. No where does it state that I have to pay for parking to use rhe charger. Feels like a scam setup

Be very careful using this Tesla Supercharger

I charged here while having breakfast at the hotel and still received a £100 parking fine a few days later from a third-party company. No one at the hotel mentioned anything about needing to validate parking, and there was no clear signage near the chargers or inside.

After pushing back, the parking company reduced the charge to £20, which only shows how inflated and misleading the original fine was. I’ve since discovered this is happening to many other Tesla drivers at this same site. It feels deliberately confusing and unfair.

If this happened to you, I encourage you to contact both Tesla Customer Service and the hotel directly. They need to know how badly this is affecting genuine customers.

Tesla should not allow its Superchargers to operate in environments like this. Avoid this location if you can. It is not worth the risk.

Scan QR code at the charger point to get free parking. If you scan the one that says "pay here" you have to pay.  For charging there is a different QR code right in-between all the chargers. Scan the code here for the free parking for EV only.
Clearly a ton of people arent looking around their surroundings for the ton of signs that tell you to pay or register to park
