AI Overview

The station is located in the hotel parking lot behind Lollygaggers restaurant; GPS directions may be confusing, so follow signs for the hotel. Drivers report that individual charger cables vary in length and reach — some report one cable per charger not reaching certain vehicles easily, and one charger unit (109931) has been reported as unresponsive, while charger 109932 works reliably. The lot is shaded in the afternoon. Recent reports indicate the station is operational, though drivers note charging speeds are slower than the advertised power rating.

4 stars. It’s good that there are available spaces and parking is accessible—I was able to plug in immediately using the CCS connector. However, the station does not deliver the promised 180 kilowatts of power. Charging is significantly slower than advertised, which is disappointing. It gets the job done, but it’s definitely not on par with its claims

It’s behind Lollygaggers, take the first available right after the turnpike interchange. We are Tesla drivers so used to simply plugging in. We’ve struggled with other chargers but this worked well with the ev connect app. Plug the car in, scan the code, and hit “charge”. It requires a CCS to Tesla adapter. Easily the second best (behind superchargers) charging experience we’ve had.

No issues charging on 2/20/26. Very fast. Not easy to find, its in the hotel parking lot behind Lollygaggers. GPS directions confusing and the title of Shell Recharge Charging Station is confusing and misleading. But once you find it its all good. I like that its shaded in the afternoon. Also FYI you'll need the EV connect app but its simple to download.

Dec 15, 2024. Still no power to their new chargers. Duke Energy hasn't been out to connect the beautiful new charging stations. The old ones are also still sitting off to the side disconnected. Hotel staff super nice and gave me list of other potential stations. This area is a wasteland for anything other than a Tesla. Ended up doing very slow charge at Wildwood Preserve Apartments. PSA: Do not rent an EV in Central Florida, very few places to charge.

These chargers are not operational as of November 4th 2024. The front desk staff at the hotel say it could be another month before they're working because they're not set up. Don't come here before December if you're looking to charge a car.
