Coolac, NSW Supercharger

This one is super convenient and reliable. Just off the Hume Highway, making it ideal for long-distance travel.

Charger Type & Access:
* Newer-generation Superchargers with long cables, so charging port position is not an issue.
* Open to both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles.

Charging Speed & Performance:
* Excellent performance as always. I got consistently 150 kW+ during my session.
* Charging started quickly and remained stable throughout.
* As expected, very reliable Tesla experience.

Availability:
* No cars during my visit, and the site remained empty for the entire 30 minutes.

Parking & Layout:
* Easy access from the highway.
* Bays are well spaced, with no issues opening doors or manoeuvring.

Lighting & Safety:
* Visited in the evening. Site is not fully lit.
* Some light from nearby street lamps, but Tesla-installed lights were not working.
* Could feel a bit uncomfortable if alone at night.
* Noticed surveillance cameras, which is reassuring.

Cellular Network Coverage:
* Good signal for both Telstra and Optus, so connectivity is not an issue.

Shade & Comfort:
* No built shade. Cars are fully exposed.
* A couple of trees provide limited shade for drivers, but not for vehicles.

Amenities:
* Portable toilets (temporary units) available. These are usable and reasonably maintained.
* Both red and yellow bins available, which is a nice touch.

Overall Experience:
* Fast, quiet, and reliable stop with excellent charging speeds.
* Lighting could be improved for better comfort at night.

Overall, a high-speed and dependable Supercharger stop off the Hume Highway. Minor drawbacks like lighting and lack of shade aside, this is a very efficient and low-stress charging location.

Charged my Cupra Born here on 2/12/2025 and it worked well. It will be good when the Bee Hive Hotel opens!
Successful charge of Volvo ES90 in March 2026 - I heard work going on in the Bee Hive Hotel which is great! Walked over to the petrol station which took about 10 minutes. It is amazing how big the petrol station is and how relatively little traffic comes through compared to Dog on The Tuckerbox.  There's a sense it was designed and built without thought for the future when there will be less ICE vehicles and more EVs.

Plenty of Superchargers available. However, there are no shops, cafés, or nearby amenities. Temporary toilets have been installed, but they are not clean.

Stopped at the Coolac Tesla Supercharger on Christmas Day 2025 and overall it did exactly what it needed to do.

Charging was easy and smooth, with the working superchargers running at full speed, which is always appreciated on a road trip. The Tesla app was accurate too — it flagged two chargers as out of order, so no surprises on arrival.

Facilities-wise, there are toilets, but they’re porta-loos, and the bins were overflowing. Not ideal, but also not shocking given it was Christmas Day and likely minimal servicing.

All things considered, it’s a solid stop: fast charging, clear info from the app, and basic amenities that get the job done. Just maybe don’t linger too long… charge, go, and let Christmas continue.

The station typically features multiple high-speed stalls, allowing Teslas to charge quickly and efficiently, making it ideal for long-distance trips or overnight journeys.

One of the biggest benefits of this location is the ability to enjoy the amenities of the Beehive Hotel Motel during the charging session. Drivers can step inside for a meal, grab a drink, or simply take a break in a comfortable setting. The pub-style restaurant offers classic Australian food, and the atmosphere is friendly, making the wait far more pleasant than a typical roadside stop. For those staying overnight at the motel, having a Supercharger right onsite adds excellent value, ensuring the car is fully charged and ready to go the next morning.

The area is easy to navigate, with clear signage and simple parking access. Whether you're passing through or staying locally, the Tesla Supercharger at the Beehive Hotel Motel provides a practical, clean, and relaxing charging experience that fits perfectly with a smooth road trip.
