My experience at the Electrify America station at Desert Hills Premium Outlets was extremely frustrating. There are only 4 stalls, and 2 were occupied by cars that had finished charging more than 20 minutes earlier with no drivers in sight. With no designated area to queue, several of us were left circling and waiting with nowhere to go. When I finally plugged in my Nissan Ariya, the charger delivered only about 20 kW, far below the 130+ kW speeds I consistently get at other EA locations. To make matters worse, the station is tucked away in an inconvenient, poorly planned location, adding to the overall frustration. This site desperately needs better stall management, clearer signage, improved placement, and functioning chargers that deliver the speeds EA advertises. Don't waste your time.

Be careful, there is one charger that is super duper slow. We needed to move to the other side to charge. On the bright side, u wont get bored cause of the outlet nearby.

First, only two chargers are working Second, this car has been here more than 2 hours without even charging!! And no one does anything about it...

Charged successfully. Which for EA is a plus but charge capped at 84 kwh on Rivian R1S with no other cars present. No restrooms close by despite the large mall

Update 8/15/24 just after midnight: app says it's open and available, but Gates are closed and locked (see photo). Open, no wait 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning. I would rate five stars except for the fact that the app says it's open 24 hours, which is NOT ACCURATE. Also, as others have said, if the stalls are full there is no appropriate place to wait that doesn't risk blocking traffic. Finally, although these are 350kW chargers, it throttled back pretty quickly after a healthy but brief 280kW initial rate. (see photo)
