Houston, TX - Hempstead Road Supercharger

I've used this Supercharger station many times, and overall it's one of the best locations I've visited. The chargers are usually reliable, charging speeds are consistently good, and the area feels safe and convenient, especially for longer trips.

The only downside is that congestion fees can add up quickly if the station gets busy, which can be frustrating. I've also noticed that during late-night hours, several stalls are sometimes occupied by newly delivered Tesla vehicles, which appears to make it harder for regular owners to find an available charger when the station is already crowded.

That said, these issues haven't been enough to ruin the experience. The station itself is well maintained, easy to access, and has saved me countless times when I needed a quick charge. The charging performance has always been excellent, and I've rarely had technical problems here.

Overall, despite the occasional congestion and limited availability during certain hours, this is still a great Supercharger location that I would continue to use and recommend to other Tesla owners.

Convenient stop, with a few issues and some room for improvement.

Decent charger in a convenient location with access to free coffee and snacks while the Tesla showroom is open. Easy to find since it’s at a giant Tesla showroom/service building you’ll see from the highway. but charger is often completely full with over half the cars there left by tesla with no one in them. Often have to wait for those cars to fully charge especially during rush hour and holidays, Tesla employees are always hogging the stalls. Besides creating a wait time, this also causes us owners to have to pay idle fees because TESLA themselves is congestion the Supercharger. Could use a couple of outdoor trash cans, as people litter here a lot. Also noticed coffee and snacks like especially the coffee pods and creamers tend to be empty.

I support Tesla’s mission, and i hope they take this as constructive criticism to improve the experience. Besides the supercharging experience, i do actually really like this Showroom.

Charging station was full when I arrived and I had to wait for a charger to open up. As other reviews have mentioned, many of the chargers were occupied by dealership vehicles, and I observed staff checking chargers and rotating cars. If this location is going to be used for dealer charging, additional chargers are definitely needed.

This used to be a great charger but since about October of 2025 the Tesla car dealership is consistently is taking up all of th charging spots! Why don’t they use their own chargers and leave these ones to the consumers?!? Have had to wait over 15 minutes on average recently. This is being written at 11:25 PM as well!! Chargers should be empty! Do better, dealership.
