The last 5 times I’ve visited buccees to charge my car the charger didn’t get above 85kw which drastically slows the time to charge. I’m just gonna stop charging here if I can’t access 100+ kw regularly!

I have Verizon and for some reason the area near the chargers is a dead zone for internet. I have never used a Tesla super charger before but the fact that not being able to charge without Internet seems like a bad idea. I was only able to get it to work by going into the buckies at which point suddenly I had internet. Either buckies or Tesla needs to work with Verizon to get better cell coverage in that parking lot.

Before I reached this charging station, I was a Tesla supercharging virgin. When I popped my Tesla cherry plugging that cable into the rear port of my car, I felt an exhilarating rush that could only be described with three letters: “wow.”

Buc Ees is always a good stop. Clean everything and tesla chargers wor great. Tesla chargers are a 200-300 yard walk to the store/bathrooms so plan accordingly.

Thankfully, there are not many charging today. Having to take up two spots to get close enough to get the short cable to reach the Lightning charging port. Was at 180kW until another car pulled up, now 130kW.
