I'm honestly getting fed up with EV ownership in Texas. Electricity rates have gotten so ridiculous that driving an electric car is starting to make less financial sense than driving a gas car all over again. I'm paying 48¢ per kWh, which works out to about $27 for a full charge—and that's for what Tesla claims is around 200 miles. The reality? With Texas heat, highway speeds, A/C running nonstop, and normal driving conditions, you're lucky to see 180–185 miles before needing to charge again. The whole selling point was lower operating costs, but that advantage is disappearing fast. It feels like a complete bait-and-switch. Every year the costs keep creeping up while the actual range stays the same—or feels worse. At this point, I'm seriously questioning why I'm paying premium electricity prices just to save a few trips to the gas station. 2026 has been the year of the EV rug pull for me. I'm probably going back to a fuel-efficient 4-cylinder or a hybrid. At least I know what I'm getting, and I'm tired of doing mental gymnastics trying to justify these charging costs.

Charging was ok, Tesla needs to come up with a plan to have locations in a more safer, and not in the middle of nowhere locations wait, maybe bathroom access, and also for Tesla members and Tesla drivers at least don’t reduce the charging speed till solo because it is very difficult when you are going from city to city to have five different stops when you can actually do it in two stops, but Tesla slows down the charging speed so much that it forces you to stop again and again, which is extremely painful given the fact that they have such a low battery mileage range in all the Teslas, including the long ranges. FYI, I am a Tesla owner

Tesla has built this Supercharger in a spot where Gas cars are taking up most of the charging spots. I have personally seen Tesla car owners arguing with non EV car owners to move to other open spots but they will not budge. I have heard many people getting in fights from people around and this is not a good situation. Tesla should clearly indicate the spots are “for charging only otherwise cars will be towed” to deter gas car users from parking in charging spots.

Great location for the super charger as the number of teslas on the road in frisco are increasing exponentially. However the charging stalls are not reserved for teslas and I have seen a lot of nut cases parking ICE cars in the charging stalls even though a lot of normal parking stalls are available. These nut jobs who park ice cars in teala charging stalls need to be towed to junk yards

5 stars to Tesla for new SC around Collin county, but this is not a good location for a SC in this parking lot. The parking lot is a way too small, so during normal times the parking spaces are taken over by patrons of the strip mall. As I sit here, half the spaces are taken by non-charging cars. Good on Tesla for expanding, just maybe the SC should have been on the side or rear lot where the spaces would not be taken over so readily.
