Mojave, CA - Sierra Highway Supercharger

This Tesla Supercharger does work, and when we stopped here it delivered acceptable charging speeds. A few stalls were out of order, but Tesla clearly marks which ones not to use, so that was not a major issue. On our first visit there were plenty of open stalls, though on our return there was noticeable congestion.

The main reason for the two-star rating is the lack of nearby amenities. There is a gas station across the street, but during both visits the restrooms were not accessible, even to paying customers. Other than that, there is essentially nothing around. No food options, no public restrooms, and nowhere comfortable to wait while charging.

On top of that, the surrounding area feels sketchy, especially at night, and it is not somewhere you would want to walk around or spend extra time. This location does what it needs to do in terms of charging, but that is all it offers, so plan accordingly if you decide to stop here.

This charger should not get the Weinerschnitzel banner. They don't provide courtesy restroom use from Tesla drivers. You have to buy something and then a person goes to the bathroom and physically unlocks the door. AND you can't lock the door from inside!!!

The charger is fast and 5 ⭐ if you don't need to use the restroom! 🚻🚺

This is not a huge Charging place and no restrooms. There is Denny’s nearby but you need to order something to use restrooms. Am PM is cross the street.

Very confusing. 1 stall (for disable parking) is facing the restaurant, the rest of them are facing the hotel. The chargers are with the restaurant, but the restrooms are locked with signs "customers only". I guess you'd need to buy something to get the key for the restrooms. It's hard to back in when there's so small clearance from the hotel walls.

Don’t be an idiot when you charge your Tesla here.  A while ago people broke the plastic off the back of all Tesla chargers so they can charge from either side. But the parking spot is designed for you to face the hotel not the weaner stand.  Had a guy argue with me and try to steal my plug as he wanted to follow everyone else who parked on the wrong side and used the charger from the wrong stall.   Common sense people. If you have it use it. If you don’t well then I guess life will always be difficult for you in situations like this.
