Montreal, QC – Rue Viger Supercharger

The charge of the parking lot is more than the cost of Tesla charge. Avoid it please.

Gatta pay for parking and to charge? Robbery! Poor signage to leave unless attached to the hotel, poor signage to return to the underground. And like every other garage the pungent smell and stain of urine.

Used the Vigier Tesla charger on rue Saint-Laurent while spending the afternoon downtown, and it’s important to set expectations: this is really more of a destination charger than a true Supercharger.

Charging speed was about 52.1 kWh over 1h18, which averages roughly 40 kW—not terrible, but definitely not “supercharging” fast. If you’re on a road trip and counting on a quick stop, this isn’t the spot.

In my case, it worked because I was already downtown. I treated it as park + charge before heading back to Ottawa, which made sense. On a previous trip though, my Tesla actually suggested this location while travelling, and that’s where it gets misleading.

Between the $15.11 charging cost and $16 parking fee, it adds up quickly—and for that price and speed, I wouldn’t recommend it for travellers passing through.

Also worth noting: getting there is a bit of a mission. Downtown traffic, underground access, and Montréal roads doing their best impression of an obstacle course—guarded by Québec’s true national emblem: the construction cone 😄

Bottom line: good option if you’re already downtown and have time to spare. Not a true Supercharger experience, and not ideal for road trips.

The chargers here are rigged. Diabolical. They've got V4 chargers which are designed to output 250 kW but no... Once I plugged in I get 70 kW and decreases from there. It's designed to keep you in the paid parking lot longer. 30 minutes for $8... If you have a choice go somewhere else. A full charge might take you an hour or so. Even a V3 charger elsewhere is faster than this.

Just so everyone is aware, this location does not support non-Tesla vehicles with NACS port. I booked the Hampton hotel upstairs thinking I can charge my Kia EV9 but no luck. The other circuit Elcrrique chargers only have the old J1772 charger with super slow speeds (ok for overnight parking i guess) but I did not have that adapter so couldn't use it.
Us you pay to enter garage. This place is only useful for Tesla owners who are staying at the hotel, otherwise skip it.

Its in hotel parking and to enter its $6 in addition its only 75kwh charge

Positive thing is that you can charge if you are staying in hotel or going china town
