Mt. Hope, WV Supercharger

So we stopped here today only to see a group of bikers camped out here, just chillin' and chattin' it up as they occupied three charging bays. It had to roll down my window and ask them to basically move. They moved reluctantly and proceeded to continue talking and checking out each other's bikes. We pulled into the parking bay we liberated only to get 27kW hours. I was fuming but tried to remind myself that I was in the mountains of West Virginia, these were young guys and I was traveling with my family. Two more bikers decided to join them before they decided they would leave all together. When they finally moved, we were able to choose one of the two parking bays they occupied and our speeds increased to over 100kW.

Lesson: don't stop here if you are conflict averse and don't want to get into a fight with a group of young bikers who chose the Tesla charging spaces instead of the other available places to gather.

The Sheetz gas station offers clean facilities, and a wide assortment of hot & cold food and beverages.  Rest Rooms conveniently located inside as is as eating area.   Also available is a Taco Bell adjacent to the chargers.   Even though the charger slots are labeled with a 10 minute limit on non-EV parking, many stay longer causing non-charging related congestion.

Had 2 ICE vehicles blocking chargers when I arrived at 9pm on a Friday. Luckily the charger I picked - 4B - charged at 150kW so I didnt have to move around at all. West Virginia ranks 45th for EV vehicles, odds are you'll be one of the only cars charging.

Great Tesla supercharger located in the Sheetz parking lot. Sadly many locals use some other slots just to park. They have a convenient waste container and windshield squeegees.

Store is not enforcing non Tesla vehicle to park in Tesla designated charging station. Had to wait for a Ford to move his car to be able to charge smh
