Mckinney Station

Newburg, PA Supercharger

we showed up here on a Saturday night in the middle of a long drive home, planning to eat while we let the car charge for a bit.  The site says the diner is open until 9pm. We got there at 8pm and they were already closing. While the chargers are conveniently right off the highway, this place cannot put itself out there as a reliable rest stop when it does not adhere to its scheduled hours. Won't be back here again.

Tesla Supercharger in Newburg, PA — Eight stalls, solid and steady around 125 kW. There’s a little diner next door if you’re hungry, but fair warning: no public restrooms unless you hoof it across the street. Good for a quick top-up, less ideal if nature calls.

VERY IMPORTANT.   If the restaurant is closed you will need to stop at the toll booth on the exit ramp if you need a bathroom stop.  Also, Nav will tell you to turn right.  Look straight ahead at the bottom of the ramp you'll see the charger.  Cross both lanes and enter the parking lot, supercharger is straight ahead.

To get to the bathroom, you have to walk across the road to the turnpike building.  It is unassuming. It is immediately off the turnpike ramp behind a restaurant.  The restaurant was open for coffee and it has local honey inside. The max I got was 101 kW

8 charging stations total.  Coming from Philly to Pittsburgh.  Stopped at Blue Mountain Service Station to use the restroom before coming to charge.  Exit is about mile from BM Service Station. Restaurant was open (Wednesday at 2:06 pm) but we were not buying anything.  Read that there is a restroom at the toll (have to go through a toll to get to charging station) but didn’t feel like taking a chance.

Update:   Coming back from Pittsburgh, charging stations were almost full.  Cars were starting to line up.  There are restrooms at the toll station.
