They don't have equipment lists and won't let me collect the data for myself

I have always been in peak physical condition but never spent any time at a gym. Recently I have become slightly more sedintary gaining a great deal of upper body muscle mass for my diminutive large boe gage frame.

I got spinal pinches and tension. Luck had it that I found an expert in these issues. "It's not a tumor"

I wanted to take an inventory of selected equipmen, make a report to my trainer and design a plan to stay out of trouble. I was told that I don't have a free trial and I couldn't write down equipment specs.

They fixed all their cable machines, okay I was honestly shocked

The bathroom faucets are still working at like 30% capacity but I’m glad they fixed some stuff at least, I like this gym, and it bothers me to see it declining like this

Owners, please pay attention to what your customers are saying, as you can read, most of us really like this gym, and it would be pretty sad and unnecessary to switch because of poor management, we don’t want that

I came for the first time a couple of years ago and I really liked how well maintained it was.

Joined again a couple of months ago and the quality has gone downhill BIG TIME:

A couple of weeks ago they didn’t have wipes to clean the equipment, their water fountain had the same filter in red for months, the bathrooms had two out of three sinks working, now as of May 19th 2026, none of them work properly, you barely get any water coming out of them, and they put their soap in dollar tree dispensaries.

The biggest problem I’ll say is the lack of maintenance for machines, they have a total of 8 cables, out of those only 3 work, that means that Blink is currently with less than half of their cable equipment working, this ends up in people having to wait for minutes before even being able to start exercising, also, having all those kids hogging on machines don’t help at all, I wish they had something written or a flyer or something that reminded people to be mindful about other people working out: it’s annoying to be waiting for a kid to finish a set, then being 5+ minutes on his phone, walk away, come back and do another set.

I wish they could see the impact of what this is doing, having to wait over 10 minutes to use a cable, when you have 5 that are broken is just unacceptable, and it makes the experience a bad one, I’m seriously thinking about switching gyms, doesn’t matter if it’s closer to my house if it’s gonna take me double the time to work out because of their broken equipment.

I joined for the stair master, every month a new one is broken. In January there were 4 working. It’s barely March and we’re all expected to share 2 out of 5 machines because they can’t find a technician. Not worth the $30/mo and yr fee.

Staff is always nice and the facilities are clean. I’m never worried about things getting stolen. The prices are fair. The only complaints I have are that there are no classes available and the treadmills and stair master seem to be out of order often but there’s usually at least one treadmill available even at busy times so no worries. Conveniently located very close to the Ashland Orange line station.

I used to REALLY like this particular gym. For a while I didn't even think about being a member anywhere else. It used to be super-clean, very well-kept, and everything was in order. But ever since they underwent new ownership last year, everything changed for the worse. It has become poorly-kept, unsanitary, and horribly-staffed. They don't change the water filters, there are barely any sanitation wipes, sometimes for days on end. The soap dispensers and sinks barely work in the bathrooms and they have resorted to putting a Costco bottle of hand soap next to the bathroom sinks. I feel like I'll end up with a staph infection just by walking in there.
Most of the machines are broken more often than not, and the the staff is mostly kids who are usually on their phones texting at the front desk and can barely answer even the simplest of questions. And it is my understanding that they are now trapping people in their memberships. I've heard from multiple people, both ones that I know and on Google reviews, that even after canceling their memberships, they continue to get charged, and are given the runaround by both gym employees and corporate. The poor upkeep of the gym is bad enough, but to screw people out of their money-- especially after increasing their prices-- is unethical and sneaky.
It's become evident that whoever took over simply does not care. Unless they pull it back together, I'd advise against joining Blink Fitness. Just go somewhere else.

I’ve been a member of this gym since 2019, and until recently, I genuinely enjoyed coming here. The convenience, cleanliness, and friendly managers were always a plus. The managers are still friendly, but unfortunately the overall condition of the gym has gone downhill.

I have never written a negative review for this location before, but this situation is unacceptable. Being out of cleaning wipes for an entire week is gross and irresponsible. I was here Thursday and there were no wipes. It is now Sunday, and the wipes are still not replenished.

That should never happen at a gym. If wipes are unavailable, management needs to provide immediate alternatives—spray bottles and towels, like other gyms (Planet Fitness does this). Leaving members without any way to clean equipment is unsanitary and frankly disgusting.

This is a health and safety issue, not a minor inconvenience. Supplies should be purchased and restocked the same day, not ignored for a week. If this level of uncleanliness continues, I cannot continue coming here and will have to cancel my membership.

I hope ownership takes this seriously and addresses it immediately, because this gym used to be much better—and it can be again.
