Palm Springs, CA Supercharger

This is one of the more annoying superchargers I've used. It's at the bottom of a parking garage, the entrance of which is tucked off the main strip with a lot of one-way traffic.

Once you're there it's fine, I mean, it's a supercharger. You can be pretty confident it's gonna work. And there are additional chargers around the corner from the  immediately obvious first row.

But the garage is gross, smelly, kinda sketchy. At least parking is free, even if you're not using the supercharger spaces.

Bottom level of parking garage.  Fairly easy to find.  Best at night for pricing.

3 stars for the .50/min congestion fee to charge over 80%.

They're not on Floor 5. They're in the basement level. There's little to no cell service down there. It's hotter downstairs than the higher floors. The parking spots are crammed together so tightly.  The 250kw chargers are in between concrete beams, depending on which charger you get, you might not be able to open your door.  The 72kw chargers have more space but are priced the same as the 250kw chargers.

My suggestion, put them on the roof level parking under some solar panels for shade.

Entrance is on N. Museum Dr  (and not on Belardo Rd as indicated by the pindrop on Tesla navigation map).  There are 24 chargers (12 red and 12 white).  Chargers are on Basement Level parking #5 (going down after the entrance).  Red chargers are to the left side of the parking.  White chargers are further in from red chargers (after turning left).

You must go down to the lower level and proceed to parking lot number 5 north. Here are Tesla stalls for 250 kWh. Why you should drive - because there are low-speed charging stations at the entrance to the parking lot. I rested here and came 2 times at different times and the load was lower than predicted and there was always the opportunity to park as recommended by Tesla. Stay charged!
