Poncha Springs, CO Supercharger

This was one of the stranger Tesla super charger locations. It's off the beaten path and fenced off from a vacant lot. There are signs that say "24 hour surveillance. Your license plates are now on file." Well, i didn't sign up for that. Pretty hostile, really.

Around the fence, you can cross the empty dirt lot to what looks like a gas station. Instead it is a restaurant that maybe recently got off the ground. They told us that they were working towards being a farm-to-table restaurant, but the current menu board showed burgers, sammies and the like. Honestly, we were looking for restrooms. We just held out for the next opportunity.

Easy to access. Chipeta Park two blocks away is a great place for kids to play while waiting.

Very easy to find chargers. Gas station nearby with a mini restaurant and restroom. Perfect for a quick pitstop to recharge and refresh.

The charger station that gets the jobs done, although there isn’t much there to keep you occupied. There is a nearby sandwich shop that is a bit rundown and has limited options and there is a fair bit of trash and overgrown weeds at the charger, but in terms of fast charging and availability, this site is great.

Clutch place for a supercharging station... Very busy and in high demand now. No telling what it will look like in a year from now when it gets opened up to all electric charging vehicles...
