Portsmouth, UK Supercharger

Charge very slow 62 KW max! No where nearby to get any drinks or if you need toilet etc building In front of chargers not accessible, wouldn’t recommend unless your local.

It’s a smaller and very busy Tesla supercharger only eight charging points with CCS and Tesla charging , and the speed is all right, good enough not super fast.

Very good price 36p before 8 am, during the day is 57p.

It’s in the LANGSTONE Park.

If you follow the google maps, it’s a bit tricky, from A27, DO NOT COME HERE VIA LANGSTONE ROAD, it will try to take you through the security barrier which you can not go through obviously. It’s only for the people who works here.

Please use HARTS FARM WAY from A27 to get here. Or alternatively you can drive up and pass Tesco Extra on your left turn left to Solent Road, then on next roundabout turn left on Brockhampton Road, then at the next roundabout turn left on  Brookside Road , you will see the Tesla Supercharger about 50 meters at next roundabout, then take second exit then turn left to the parking area ( screenshot attached).

It might be a good idea to use “ Saacke Combustion Service Ltd” as a destination for now, it’s right next to the supercharger parking, and the spot of Tesla supercharger on google maps is incorrect at the moment. I have asked google maps to change it.

By the way, you only can sit in the car when you are waiting for the charging finished. There is no access to inside the building if you want to use the loo or free coffee.

Used this place a lot of the last couple of years; however today I have been left waiting with several other Tesla drivers while a mercedes, a battered nissan van and a fat guy in a cupra use the chargers. Since opening the Supercharger Network to other car brands, owning a Tesla is becoming less and less attractive.

Charging speeds were generally good, although I did encounter a slower charge rate on one stall.

The location itself is in an industrial park, so don't expect any on-site amenities. However, Havant town center is within walking distance, and you'll pass a shopping center with a Tesco, Marks and Spencer and restaurants along the way.

The site is a bit tight to navigate, and the 80% charging limit can be a slight inconvenience.

Overall, this Supercharger is functional and convenient for those in the area, but improvements could be made in terms of space and on-site amenities.

Absolute garbage, 20 minute wait to get a space. Then the car wouldn't charge as there isn't enough power to feed all the chargers at the same time. So you have to keep pressing start charge until it works (another 20+ minutes).
