AI Overview

Chargers are located by the JCPenney entrance at the northeast corner of the mall. Free pull-in parking with trailer-friendly spaces. Nearby amenities include a Panera with food and restrooms. The mall layout can be confusing; from I-195, use the first entrance for direct access. One stall has been reported out of service; drivers note occasional waits during peak hours and recommend off-peak charging to avoid congestion from other vehicles lingering in spots.

The chargers are by the Penney's. There is food and bathrooms around the corner at a Panera. The layout is confusing but there was only one other car here at lunch time so no issues. There are spots next to the chargers to wait. I was amazed to receive a higher wattage than advertised. My sustained charge was 163 kW. The chargers are advertised as 125 kW. I'll definitely come back on my Cape Cod road trips.

Good charging rate (153kW peak). It's a little bit of a hassle to get into one of the spots if you need to back in, as you're backing in from a pretty busy lane. If you're coming from I-195, the first entrance to the mall gets you right there. Google maps had us enter the second entrance and we looped around the whole mall.

Be careful, money grabber! My normal L3 costs 0.21c kwh and don't charge an idle fee. Their 0.56c, made a normal $6+ bill into a $16.11 after taxes. It was early morning and the mall was closed. So I walked over to DD, when I returned the screen said I had 3 minutes before I would be charged an idle fee. Guess they only allow 10 minutes to get back, you always have to read the small print!

Charging is great once it's online and there aren't many people, I'd avoid the rush hour after work and charge around 5 to 6 pm when the mall is less occupied. People tend to leave their car charging and go to the walk around the mall.....they forget that other people need to charge. They also forget that it takes an extra hour to charge from 80 percent all the way to 100.

This is the least fun I have ever had. Sitting at a slow charging station that's supposed to be fast. This is nuts. So not worth getting an EV in southern New England.
