Preston, UK Supercharger

EV cars be careful! This place is a scam, nowhere at the entrance mentioned that you need to declare your car reg if you are charging, you will just get a surprise £100 parking penalty.
Parking doesn't warn you or inform you about registrations at the reception!!
Very dated and not great for a stop.
Avoid!

Raining, late at night and got navigated to the charger. First charging station that you have to register your car, now ended up with a £100 fine.
Hotel & Tesla not supportive.
Recommend not to use this charger or the hotel.

Preston super charger, is the new type but be warned you MUST register your car at the holiday in counter on the screen or you will be fined. This charger is lacking nearby facilities so I try not to use it.

Very fast chargers from Tesla, why can’t the others manage this? 200kW charging on a Polestar 2 is amazing. You do need to register your car at the hotel to avoid a parking fine, which is kind of absurd. If your car enters and leaves within an hour it should not necessary.

Decent number of chargers and easy to get to from the motorway. As other people have pointed out: YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR NUMBERPLATE AT RECEPTION to avoid a parking fine. This little gem isn’t well signposted!

You can get a drink in the hotel (very basic offering) but not much else nearby while charging unfortunately.
