I went to this Safeway Electrify America when it was RAINING and was informed by a security guard that no cars can wait near the chargers anymore, and if you refuse to move, she’s calling the City Parking to give out tickets. Safeway has put several yellow cones prohibiting people waiting for the charge. It’s unfortunate that if the 4 chargers are occupied, Safeway forces cars waiting to wait on the street, which of course, there’s no parking available. Incident Report: Two other cars and myself, had to find parking on the street and informed other incoming drivers that were in line. Waited about 25 minutes….Not a problem… UNTIL…This lunatic guy after charging his car, pulls out of the space and stops his car causing traffic just to verbally attack me because I was helping another driver that was behind me in line to get his spot because 2 other drivers were trying to jump ahead of the existing line. Since purchasing my VW ID.4 in August 2023, I’ve seen how nasty and disgusting people can be towards other people when it comes to these public charging stations. It’s unfortunate that people can’t be kind towards another, but are savages.

20 minute wait to “fast charge” at 35kw!?!? Get a Tesla

Good chargers but bad EV etiquette like this Tesla just parking and not charging. Held up the line for at least 20 minutes since he was there even before I arrived. There should be a way to call security to go on the intercom system in Safeway that they need to move their car for such scenarios.

That's the only changing station working well for West sf. It's not the fastest, but the charging speed is good enough. The only issue is that most of the times regular shoppers park on charging spots, and due to the high volume of EVs, that's super annoying. Whenever I charge here, I take photos of the gas cars parking here and post it to Google map.

Of four chargers here: one was occupied and apparently working. One was blocked by a non EV. Two had charger fault errors repeatedly. The last was blocked by an EV that was not charging, and when it left we couldn't get the cable to reach our charging port. We had to go to a different place to charge.
