As of March 27, 2026, the screen on charger 01 is not displaying. However, it still charges. Your car display will show it, so no need to be surprised.

Proceed with caution—unreliable chargers!

Coming here is a total gamble.  In my experience, about 50% of the time at least one of three stalls is down. Today, I wasted 10 minutes on the phone with customer support just for them to tell me the charger wasn't working. While I was stuck on the phone, I observed the stall next to me open up and get snagged by another driver.

The Issue: Frequent downtime and glitchy hardware.

The Support: Helpful, but ultimately can't fix a broken physical charger over the phone.

The Verdict: Huge waste of time if you are low on juice and driving out of your way. Have a backup plan.

Level 2 charger worked (app payment only). 5☆ bc L2s at these type of mixed level spots are often down. Im an L2-only BEV driver 😅

Card reader still didnt work, though, so make sure you have the app set up with $ loaded.

Also had to retry starting the charge several time before it initiated, in the rain, on Christmas eve. Was more like a 2 star experience, but only gave 5 stars to signal that there IS charging available here.

Don't give 1 star because all the stations are IN USE SUCCESSFULLY BY OTHER PEOPLE.

Fast turnaround since they have an 85% State of Charge cutoff pilot at this location. Request Electrify America to implement this policy Nationwide. For those folks who insist on trickle charging above 85% and slowing down the rest of us, there is a 7 watt charger you can move to at this location. Suggest Electrify America to add an indicator using the LED light already existing on the body of the charging station to indicate the state of charge for the vehicles that are plugged in and charging. Sometimes I have had to go and knock on the window of the sleeping drivers who had completed their charging and still plugged in.

This is a popular location inside the safeway parking lot. ONly 4 DCFC stations that are always full or broken.  This location has been down for over a week, and just went back up a couple of days ago.  Not sure how EA is all over the place but most of them broken or power reduced.  Can't trust these for a long trip.  EA needs to invest in reliability rather than quantity.
