Today 1/25/2026 only two chargers are working the rest are vandalized. The tesla navigation does not update about the availability of chargers . Theres strong urine smell and occasionally panhandlers roaming around

Not the best charging experience

A few things to keep in mind if you’re coming here to charge:
1.	No signal underground – Once you drive in, your phone will likely lose all reception. Even near the exit elevators, there’s basically nothing. Bring a book or be ready to meditate while you wait.
2.	Dim lighting & narrow, one-way lanes – It’s quite dark and cramped down there. The one-way layout makes it easy to get turned around.
3.	Short charging cables – If your charge port is at the back, the cable may be too short even if you pull in head-first.
4.	Unpleasant smell – There’s a noticeable urine odor in the area.

The biggest issue is definitely the zero phone signal. Plan ahead, because once you’re down there, you’re off the grid.

What this 8 plug supercharger, located on the bottom floor of a free parking garage under the Ballard Trader Joe’s, lacks in ambience, cellular coverage and charging speed, it makes up for with the amenities that surround it. Escalators take you up to the street level to nice breakfast restaurant. Also on the street level there is the aforementioned Trader Joe’s and a Top Pot donut shop (with restrooms). Seven blocks to the north and within walking distance is a Safeway with a Starbucks. Across the street to the south is a PCC. If possible, charge in a spot close the escalators with your car facing them - you’ll get the best cellular signal there. Power delivery from these older 150Kw units ranges from 45Kw to 75Kw depending on how busy the station is. Be aware that your car’s nav system will tell you to turn north from Ballard Way, away from the parking garage, rather than south, into the parking garage.

Super comfortable,  the station is on P0 and there is 10 spot , no parking charge and there is great coffeeshop u can enjoy while charging right above the parking which is accessible by electric stairs 😀

Convenient , well lit location, out of the elements in bottom floor of parking garage under Trader Joe's in Ballard. Room for 8 Tesla's to charge simultaneously. Limited cell connectivity in this location (on T-Mobile). Easy access to Trader Joe's, PCC and other retailers while you top off.
