Facing the front of Sheetz, dispensers are located to the right of the store in the back corner.

Sheetz 407 (Wytheville, VA)

They recently installed new equipment. Everything including the touchscreens works great now. ( On my previous visit to this station, the touchscreens didn't work which made it very challenging to use the chargers). Still too expensive though. $0.60/kwh on June 6, 2026.  Crazy markup!

Conveniently located at a Sheetz close to I81 and easy to find.

Unlike past visits over the past 2+ years, we had no wait at this station. All chargers were available and there were no problems charging.

Very accessible to the highway, but also very busy on holiday weekends because of that. The chargers were all working the days that I stopped here. All chargers were all occupied and I was still getting 74kwh on a Hyundai Kona. Not bad.

This charging station was closed when I passed through on 9/19/25, 9/20/25 and 9/26/25.  Looking forward to it reopening (hopefully) as I have been very impressed otherwise with the Sheetz EA stations I've stopped at

It’ll probably be great when it reopens for right now that machines are torn out and being replaced I made the trip specifically to Sheetz  in order to charge up only to find no charging was available. The staff at Sheetz were helpful by suggesting other charging locations. I went to the Flying J nearby and I’m charging up right now on aEV go station. I met another driver facing the same dilemma. They need to publicize when these stations are closed so we don’t make wasted trips.

EZ charge, no wait, recognize the car immediately and started charging at close to the max charge rate.  Very easy, and the Sheetz  makes for a great stop with clean bathrooms.
