South Hill, VA Supercharger

Not a great location at a sit-down restaurant when there is a Love’s up the street. Most importantly, though it advertised 150 kWh, when we plug in it says location limited to 50 kWh. Avoid if you can, should’ve read the other Google reviews before deciding to stop here

My experience, if you come here when restaurant is closed, it’s fine for charging. Just don’t expect any restroom or trash.

If you are planning to hit when restaurant is open, pick a different charging route. Spots blocked by other vehicles, owners do not enforce the EV parking only signs.

For EV drivers considering this location: be aware that while Tesla chargers are installed, the experience is poorly thought out. There is no public bathroom access, no trash cans, and charger spots are often blocked by non-charging vehicles, making it difficult or impossible to actually use the chargers.

If you plan to stop here expecting basic amenities during a charge, you’ll be disappointed. This may work as an emergency stop if you’re lucky, but it’s not a driver-friendly charging location. Other charging sites nearby may be a better option.

Like others have alluded to, this is the roughest supercharger I've come across.

3 of the charger cables appear damaged to the point of concern, possibly dangerous, but I'm not a rocket scientist. Every single one of these chargers look like they've been smacked across the concrete multiple times.

No bathroom is a bit of a drawback as well. Skip this one if you can.

This supercharger is located behind a Kahill’s restaurant and next to a dumpster. There are no bathrooms or anyplace to grab a bite unless it’s between 4-10 pm and you want to go inside. I drove past the driveway and had to turn around. The overflowing dumpster is gross and it would be very dark and remote at night. Skip this charger if you’re heading south and catch one in NC.
