AI Overview

Chargers are limited to 85% state of charge as part of Electrify America's congestion reduction effort. The station has only 4 stalls in a small lot; drivers frequently report wait times during busy periods. Parking spaces are wider than typical. One older comment mentions a display screen issue on one charger, but recent reports indicate the hardware was replaced and the station is now reliable.

I found it to be quick and easy to charge without the app. I waited 11min to get from about 50% to 80%. The speed started at 230kw and dropped to 140kw. They only have 4 stalls which kept it from being a 5 star review. 4 stalls would not be enough during peak times. I was there at 4am and someone else was there too.

This Electrify America charging station has improved greatly in recent months. You'll note by the photos of this Google Maps profile that the EVSE hardware was replaced within the past year. I come here on a regular basis and generally had a great (fast, reliable) charging experience. Starting the charging session is easy: Plug in, then initiate in the Electrify America app. They recently set a cap on our SOC at 85% which is a good thing - this has significantly reduced the wait times, which used to be a serious issue at this location. Charger availability has improved drastically since this was implemented, most times I don't have to wait at all. The chargers are next to a Target which has water fountains, a water refill station, and restrooms you can use. There is also a Starbucks inside the Target.

The spaces are wider than most charging stations. There is a max charge of 85% at this location due to the low number of chargers and the history of dealerships using these chargers.

OK stop, but was disappointed that there are only 4 chargers and it's capped at 85%. The cap makes sense to some degree, as when I arrived there was a two vehicle wait for an open charger, but it would've been nice to know about that so I could've planned my long-distance trip a little differently - missing out on the extra 7% I was anticipating adding made things a little tricky and I had to find a supplemental place to stop to add a little charge to get me to my desired destination. No trash cans present near chargers, but it was nice having the Target and other shops nearby for browsing, restrooms, etc.

Shame on Electrify America. This is the only charger in this area and people from Fuquay, Apex, Pittsboro drive 20-30 miles to reach here, the closest charger from where they live. There are 3 chargers and usually one of them does not work. One charger’s delivery speed is reduced on purpose. There is always a queue and you have to wait more than half an hour. Plus delivery speeds are low. I don’t understand why the company does that.
