University of the Fraser Valley

Don't bother. Says to use charge point app but does not appear on the apps network. Sign says closed for maintenance May 25-June 18 2026.

Again charging 50 cents per minute for "parking" to charge at a federally funded free charging station. Garbage. And it didn't even work.

Unit one initiated charge at 80kW so disconnected and retried and would not initiate after that.   Moved to unit two and am getting 120kW instead of the usual 230kW but there was a hummer here earlier so probably drew down the juice.  Will update in a few days with next charge.  These used to use tap to pay, now you must use the charge point app.

You pay by the minute, which would be fine if it actually charged anywhere close to its listed rate. I was at a 350kW charger by myself, which should have maxed out my car's charging rate at 210kW. Instead it maxed out at 41kW. For the price they were charging per minute, this made this charger 10x as expensive as the BC hydro one up the road.

Edit after 2 years same slow charge... Place is clean but ev charging stations both run not at full power compared to North Vancouver location here in Abbotsford they run at 70%only. Makes charging more expensive since rate is $0.27/min... This should have been ca. 65KW pic below shows only 41KW. Tried to call their 1800 number but it says it's not in service!!!
