Uxbridge, UK Supercharger

The charging speed is okay, but the tariff here is getting ridiculous (£0.79/kWh + parking!). I almost stopped coming here until I joined a private fleet program that cut my daily cost by 40%. Best decision for high-mileage drivers.

This is fast charger above 150mph when battery is below 90%. Below 60% charge is 240mph. Note I started charging around 1am, on a early Sunday hours. Chargers are inside under cover parking. Parking fees were not much

The rate without subscription was GPB 0.38 and GPB 3.0 for parking fee. This Tesla charger is significantly cheaper than Shell charger which was GPB 0.98 just a few days ago.

I needed to wait at least 10 minutes. Two very helpful guys from Somalia and Pakistan helped me get my turn at the charger because it is hard to figure out who is next when several people are waiting in their cars. Also the Pakistani guy assisted me getting me connected to charger because the first one won't initialise in the app, so we had to move the car to another Tesla charger.

Unfortunately my experience with EV chargers is not great. At the moment I'm renting an EV. And I have decided that I will not buy an EV unless there are significantly more very fast charges around.

I feel that even the fastest chargers are slow. Because for 25% of charging of your car battery, you need to spend around 2 hours at charging station and spend further more time looking for one online.

Absolute shambles. Avoid at all cost if you are a Tesla driver. Total disrespect for the Tesla bays. Non Tesla’s parked at 45 degrees taking up 2 bays (See video). Almost no Tesla’s able to access the chargers. Left na fright charges a mix of Model Y (supercharger) and Model 3 chargers. You arrive and queues of non Tesla vehicles waiting to charge because half the bays filled with Mercs/BMW/Hyundai and commercial vehicles. Rude obnoxious non Tesla drivers bullying Tesla drivers stato g £6 membership fees and then disrespecting the charging etiquette. Then to make matters worse you are charged £2.60 parking fees when you leave disillusioned with the whole process. Avoid at all cost and totally puts you off owning a Tesla when the other brands don’t respect the rules. Still amazed of you live in Buckinghamshire area there is nothing beyond Heathrow and Uxbridge. Shocking! Sorry but the whole experience was laughable!

As an updated review, it’s time you updated these chargers with longer cables! I fully appreciate opening the Tesla network up to others EV as it’s a good thing to make it more accessible, however not all cars are like Tesla and have their ports on the back left. Because of this other EVs are blocking spaces and chargers are not able to be used. I don’t blame them, it’s as simple as making the cables longer if you’re going to open it up. Also this station is slow! 150kw per pair is not happening. 100kw at best and when shared 50kw.

Good charging for Teslas and EV’s in general, however they really need to stamp down on people parking but not charging! Two cars parked and not charging causing queues, after I returned to my charged car and a coffee the cars were still there. This is not fair on all EVs, they should know better. Thought I’d attach pictures of the cars in the hope they see sense. It just so happens that the two offending cars are not Tesla’s, hard to not think this site should only be Tesla’s when you see this…..not that it would solve anything.

Easy to find, the tesla charger is right next to car park entrance. However, if you are not Tesla driver, you may not able to charge even the charger is available, if the charging port on your car is opposite to other Tesla parked there.
