AI Overview

The chargers at this location frequently have reliability issues, with drivers reporting one or more stalls offline or stopping mid-charge. Cell signal is very poor (often zero bars on major carriers), which can prevent app-based payment and communication if a charger stops. Charging is limited to 85% state of charge. Parking is free, pull-in style, well-lit, and includes trailer-friendly spaces.

Electrify America tech Ryan helped me connect to the app to charge my car. Service in that area is very poor and he had just upgraded the internet connection at the charging station. Very helpful and professional. Thank you!

All charging points were in good working order, parking spots were well marked and well maintained. There was no line at about 7:30 am and there were still spots open while we charged and when we were leaving. This seems like a great option vs other similar spots by the same company.

There’s quite often one or two out of only 4 chargers that are not working or out of service + no cell signal here (at least on Verizon) so no data to use while charging. There should be more stations - at peak times they are often full (especially if one isn’t working). Also the “Tap here to pay with plan” for Electrify America members never works. Basically the same horrible experience you get at every EA station in SoCal.

Not only was one of the chargers offline, but this spot has 0-1 bar of service. For a bit it was in SOS only mode. When using a phone as your payment device… kinda a problem when it loses connection. My car also stopped receiving power about half way through the charge. We’d walked to get coffee but with no service, there was no notice that it had stopped. They need to add a cell tower nearby otherwise it is a bad location for a charger.

This location is hit or miss. Some days, it's empty and the equipment is working. Other days, it's packed and the equipment is acting up. Today was the latter. Full chargers and a steady line of people rolling by hoping to charge. Most people following good etiquette except for one Porsche driver who thought she was more important than everyone else and left her fully charged car parked for 30 mins while other people were waiting to charge. Also, had a charger that refused to register as available after someone left so it took a phone call, which was a 20 min wait, to get EA to reset the charger, after which it worked fine and delivered an almost maxed 143 kW charging speed. Of course, because of the delay, I had to cut my session short to rush off and get home. EA needs to get it's act together. The hardware seems to work fine, but the software is terrible. No live updates, the app takes forever to refresh, no way to queue up upon arrival, no process to boot people who charge to 100% when there's people waiting, and no penalty for blocking a charger after charging is finished. This company needs to rethink it's approach to the market and invest in educating it's audience as well as fixing it's absolutely terrible software.
