Waitomo, NZ Supercharger

Successfully charged my non Tesla EV. Right next to a cafe. The parking site is not paved.

Plenty of chargers, it’s too quick. In 30 minutes you can charge around 65percent battery.
There’s a real fruit ice-cream shop, a bar / cafe and public toilets.
Nice place for a pit stop.

Always amazing and well located.  Recommend the Tesla superchargers first but then the open loop in Taumarunui has been easy for us too.

Great location as it’s super accessible on State Highway 3, just a KM before the Waitomo glow worm cave turning, and can’t be missed due to the big apple viewable from way down the road, and another sign of big ice cream if you are coming from the other side. The location has six Tesla super chargers, in a gravel parking lot. What’s best is that you have access to a full restaurant, a fresh fruit and ice cream shop, a large convenience store, and a uniquely apple shaped Coffee shop. Moreover, there are multiple restrooms. The only downside is that once all these places close, you have a lot of places to sit and walk, but cannot buy anything or use the restrooms. But great to have a Super Charger in a remote location that is accessible round the clock.

Awesome charger site, conveniently next to the highway with plenty of charge stalls and parking. During business hours the fruit/ice cream shop is open and you can get something to eat while you charge. Coffee etc is available at the Homestead. The toilets are clean and good too.
