Located on the center of the Walmart Parking Lot near the Home & Pharmacy  section.

Walmart 1879 - Barstow, CA

Arrived just in time to avoid the typical wait. As my wife pulled into the charging spot the process is certainly more expensive than charging at home but the process is simple and seamless.  We signed up for an account to help simplify the charging process. Unlike many competitor locations the equipment actually worked and is maintained.

Generally I’ve had good luck. This particular day I encountered two non working stations and had to call customer service to reboot the third station I tried.  He claimed it was a problem with my car…see a mechanic.  Not the case at all.  Finally got charged and was thirty minutes late to doctor appointment which had a domino effect on the next two days.  Obviously not all the fault of EA, but having to mess around with an unhelpful customer service guy did set it in action.

07/26/2025 $0.72/kWh, ouch!  Peaked at 148 kW. Two Dispensers are located right at the front of Walmart, I guess to insure that they get ICEd on a regular basis.  The other dispensers are about 100 yards straight down from the front door.

Visited this Electrify America charging station and found four fully charged vehicles left unattended. Meanwhile, multiple drivers were waiting to charge so they could continue their trips. This situation is frustrating and inconvenient. I’m seriously considering returning my EV—dealing with gas might be easier. Electrify America needs to enforce stricter policies against those who occupy charging spots after their session is complete.

Stopped here a few times on way to Las Vegas and back from Sacramento. Newly 350kW chargers. Smooth connection to my 2024 VinFast VF8 Plus. It was 117 degrees F heatwave so I had to wait a few minutes for the battery to cool down before I can charge. The shopping center is fairly new and clean. I used the restrooms inside the Walmart Supercenter and we ate at the nearby Panda Express.

As far as I can tell all of these chargers are working one two three four five six Chargers here they look like they're the newer versions of the charger they look really good actually I think they look really good the area is clean it's not a bad you can stop by the Burger King at Walmart you can stop by the Jack in the Box you can get your haircut at Great Clips there's a Verizon store at T-Mobile store a GameStop and AT&T just to name a few finish playing a parking for semi semi trucks if you're out here they got a pharmacy at the Walmart they got a home on Pharmacy there and a home and garden section they also have an automotive section and police on the grounds I forgot to mention there's a Panda Express Panda Express
