Located on the left edge of  parking lot when facing Walmart along the pick up area.

Eight newly installed chargers located outside Walmart..Parking spaces are wide and good area.

One of the most reliable Electrify America charging stations that I have come across on the eastern seaboard. Rarely is there a wait, and if so, a short wait. It's in the Walmart parking lot, which has a bathroom. There are also nearby fast food restaurants and a Target that one may walk to, carefully/cautiously.
Internet connections seem very fast.
High capacity, rapid super-chargers are available here.

Construction work is done and everything is beautiful. Fresh pavement, fresh paint, eight shiny chargers claiming they offer 350 kwh, of which 6 were available when I pulled up. Mine started charging around 55 kwh and finished up around 27. I was on a road trip and had specifically planned to come to this station so I could recharge quickly. Instead, I spent an HOUR here.

I travel between NJ and VA at least once a month and this location is very good for me to take a break. There is always some available charges and never waited for other cars to complete their charges. The bad part is, my electrify account is not working here. I have 2 years deal for 30 min free charge and never worked here. That gives me headaches

The Electrify America station at Walmart in Abingdon, Virginia, is a top-notch spot for EV charging. With four 150 kW stations and four 350 kW stations, I was pleased to find that all were operational when I arrived. It’s rare to see everything in perfect working order, so kudos to Electrify America for the maintenance here. I spotted a Chevy Bolt, Volvo, Hyundai Kona, and Genesis all charging without issues.

One standout feature is the inclusion of a handicap stall and a CHAdeMO station, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for a range of vehicles. The location is also convenient for a quick walk with my dog, with trash cans nearby, making it easy to clean up. While a covered area would have been a nice addition, especially for those hot or rainy days, the overall setup is well-designed and user-friendly.

Electrify America did a great job with this station—clean, efficient, and accessible. It’s a reliable spot for anyone traveling through the area and needing a quick, hassle-free charge. Highly recommended!
