AI Overview

The chargers are located in the center of the Walmart parking lot. Parking is free and includes pull-in spaces, lighting, and trailer parking. Drivers report mixed reliability with individual chargers — some note that not all stalls work, so you may need to try more than one. The station can get busy, especially on weekend afternoons, with limited waiting space near the chargers.

Reviews always make me a bit anxious about relying on many charge stations, but we used this Electrify America station outside Walmart on a bit of a longer trip a couple weeks ago without any issues. The first station we pulled into was functional, starting charging right after processing payment. Only took about 35 minutes to give us a 60% charge up from 20-80% and we were ready to be on our way again. Glad to report we did not have any issues here, didn't have to wait for any spots to open on the super-fast stations at 10am on a Saturday morning, and everything went smoothly.

Always a great experience at Electrify America! No wait today, charger maintained 87kw during the charge. Great convenient location with food and restroom options around.

This location was awfully chaotic on a Sunday afternoon. The chargers are right near the road coming into a busy parking lot so it was very difficult to find a place to wait for a charger. There were definitely problems with "cutting in line" and drivers topping off their batteries instead of heading out. Why doesn't electrify America have a queueing system to help resolve these issues? Charging price of $0.48/kWh today, better than I've paid elsewhere but my charger didn't charge beyond about 50KW until a few other vehicles left. I'm a newbie to EVs and was just driving a rental, but this experience left me less than thrilled with this charging network. I think folks would have a fine experience if there are plenty of chargers open, but it was kinda stressful today.

A lot of people freaking out about charging speeds being low seem to have little understanding of how temperature and preconditioning will affect charging speeds. I never have any issues here charging my Ioniq 6. Yes, the car can charge faster on a 350kW charger, but that doesn't mean it's going to actually charge at that level, nor is it ever going to maintain the peak rate. Most of the time at maximum with ideal temps outside and if I precondition my battery I'll charge at 230kW. Maximum. And it only maintains that rate for a few minutes and then drops. That's how it works. Most times in winter I'm getting 67-150kW even at a 350kW charger. Please do actual research on how charging works if you are confused. Also, it is not fair to blame the company for the behavior of other drivers at the charging station.

Lots of charging options, but you don’t know which ones actually work until you’re already hooked up. Had to try 3 different stations before I found one that worked.
