If you’ve ever dreamed of charging your EV in peace without fighting for a spot like it’s Black Friday at Costco, the ChargePoint station at the Walla Walla VA is your oasis. Pulled in with my Honda Prologue Elite running low, plugged in with zero drama, and charged up for FREE. In this economy? That deserves its own medal.

The setup is super easy to find, the parking lot is clean, quiet, and in a genuinely nice area. No sketchy back-alley charger vibes here. Just smooth sailing and electrons flowing like a government budget meeting.

Now, there are signs saying you need to stay with your vehicle while charging. Honestly, I get it. Apparently some folks were treating the chargers like long-term airport parking and disappearing for hours. Don’t be that guy. Nobody likes that guy.

Also worth noting: there aren’t public restrooms or nearby amenities since it’s at the VA center, so maybe don’t arrive after crushing a 44 oz gas station soda. Plan accordingly.

Overall though? Fantastic experience. Free charging, easy access, no issues whatsoever, and my Prologue Elite charged like a champ. Would absolutely stop here again. My wallet and my battery both left happy.

The DC Supercharger uses CCS1 connection which doesn’t work for Tesla. You’ll need an adapter if that’s the case. The other slower charger is like 6kW meaning you’ll need to charge for a couple hours with a J1772 adapter just to get like 15% battery.

I didn't know that this DC fast charger was free but even had it been charging me, the experience was great. I just had to pull up a bit to reach the charger to my car, but not bad.

There's one NASC at the location and it's broken while all others appear to work fine.
